PharmaTrust makes decision-support software for the people who are handed a certificate of analysis and asked to trust it.
Why it exists
A supplier's certificate arrives as a scan or a PDF. Somebody has to judge whether it is complete, whether it agrees with itself, and whether it meets the requirements for that material. Done by eye, that takes hours and the answer depends on who is reading.
In markets where re-testing capacity is limited, that reading is often the only control standing between a buyer and material they cannot verify any other way. The work deserves better tools than patience and a highlighter.
The principle
A confident wrong answer is worse than no answer.
It sounds obvious and it is expensive to honour. It means the system refuses to conclude where the evidence is thin, reports what is missing instead of guessing, and treats "the document does not say" as a finding rather than a blank. Most of the engineering here exists to make that refusal reliable.
